Messages in Monochrome

This group is for those photographers who are looking to improve upon their Black & White and or Monochrome, camera and software skills.

Members of this group will need time to study the science of monochrome photography.

We concentrate on two topics per quarter. This allows members time to fully understand, practice, and refine our skills, while maintaining and developing our own individual style.

To participate:

  • We share our images and receive feedback from within the group, and externally from recognized monochrome photographers, via our Messages in Monochrome NQCG Focus Group Facebook page.

  • The group meets monthly either by Skype or Zoom, in the comfort of your own home, to further the enjoyment of your photography.

  • Members are encouraged to post an informative article and or video links, to encourage and support other members.

  • Field trip and workshop will be included.

I am working to make Messages in Monochrome a state-wide focus group, where members share images and ideas with other photographic groups. These groups will run a similar program with the same quarterly challenges and where we will all share and grow together.

As from 19 May 2020, the group has been running for 5 weeks and I am so thrilled with the images our Messages in Monochrome photographers are achieving.
